I think it was a fun little skit. Though I was a bit confused on the setup. I thought it was going to be, "The main character procrastinates on his finals, and then is anxious for his shift to end so he can go home and cram," but it seemed to be more like, "The main character is so exhausted from his finals that he starts to hallucinate."Another thing that confused me is that the main character designs are already so abstract it's hard to distinguish what is "real" and what Orval is imagining. But as I write this, I realized it was for an animation jam, so any deeper problems from your animation are totally forgivable. Hopefully what I wrote is valuable anyways. Good job nonetheless!

This an amazing short. The watercolor backgrounds look beautiful while also being time-efficient, everything is animated smoothly while also leading the viewer's eye, and it all builds up to a great punchline. Very, VERY good job!

I'm more impressed by how you made the video quality look accurate to the original time period than anything, though the animation is good too.

I like what this is so far. You're clearly very inspired by Studio Trigger, down to the character designs. You obviously have ambition, and this seems like the beginning for future installments. What you have is a promising start. The close-ups have good, Trigger-esque line weight, but with medium and full body shots the quality seems to dip. Also there was one scene where the proportions got noticeably distorted (the running at 2:40) There was also an issue with audio balancing around the 1:40 mark. You may also want to consider finding ways to inject more variety in color in your shots as well through special effects or non-objective lighting that captures the mood/intensity (red if the characters are mad, etc.) Your main character's design doesn't have a lot of color to it either, for that matter (think about how all of the great video game and anime characters have one color they're associated with: Mega Man, Mario, Ryuko's red streak in her hair, etc. Even General Hawk has it with his yellow-green mohawk).

With all this being said, you're all nonetheless very passionate about what you made and were brave enough to share it with the world. That alone is commendable, and there are bright spots throughout what you have as well. There are flashes of genuinely impressive animation and anatomy here and there. The backgrounds, though maybe a bit simple for most of it, have good attention to perspective and detail.

Overall, this is a short that shows promise. You'll only get bigger and better as you continue to create more and more.

Keep trying!

Artist/animator, might dabble in other fields eventually.
